Our Story
Meet the Founders
Golden Hive & Harvest Co. LLC was built on a simple idea—bring our family together while creating something meaningful from the land we love.
Adam brings over 32 years of experience as an electrician, and Kelly has spent 26 years as a flight attendant. After decades of hard work in our careers, we wanted to build something of our own—something rooted in family, sustainability, and a slower, more intentional way of life.
With a large garden and nearly 20 fruit trees on our property, we began looking for ways to naturally improve pollination and increase our harvest. That’s when beekeeping came into the picture. We decided to enroll in a beginning beekeeping course through Woods Bee Co and the Washington State Beekeepers Association, and what started as a small idea quickly turned into something much bigger.
Instead of just a few hives, we decided to go all in—launching our beekeeping journey with 10 hives and turning it into a family-run business. Golden Hive & Harvest Co. LLC became more than just honey and products—it became a way to bring our entire family together.
Today, we are proud to involve our six adult children and nine grandchildren in what we’re building. From tending hives to harvesting honey and creating handcrafted products, this business is truly a family effort.
Life on our property is always full. Alongside our bees, we have our golden retriever Ruby, two teacup Yorkies Grace & Pua, a cat named Pete, and a flock of 15 chickens. Between the garden, orchard, and hives, there’s always something growing, buzzing, barking or being created.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to quality, sustainability, and authenticity. We believe in knowing where your products come from, supporting healthy bee populations, and creating goods that are as natural and honest as possible.
This isn’t just a business—it’s our way of life.
